1 pack of 100 strips, Item No. 1003

1 case of 10 packs, Item No. 1023

2 packs, Item No. 1033

Directions to Use:
Remove a single test strip from the plastic container, Submerge top half of strip into solution, making sure all 4 colored squares are covered for a minimum of 1 second. Remove and compare colored squares after 3 seconds drying time.
Match the color of the squares to the pH diagram on the box label to obtain the pH value of the tested liquid.
A pH value of 7 is neutral. A pH value less than 7 is acidic, while a pH reading greater than 7 is alkaline.

How to Interpret pH Test Results
The pH value of a particular liquid sample is obtained by matching the colors of the strip’s indicator squares after being dipped in the test liquid for approximately 1 second against the pH scale, and noting the corresponding number. Test results will vary between 0 and 14.0, and can be classified as acidic, neutral or alkaline.

Acidic (0.0 - 6.0)
If you test your water using a pH testing kit and the results are between 0 and 6, this suggests that the water could be acidic and soft with the potential to be corrosive.

Neutral (7.0)
Customarily, a reading of 7.0 on the pH scale is the ideal level for drinking water. However, international water guidelines stipulate that water is considered safe for consumption with readings between 6.5 and 8.5.

Alkaline (8.0 – 14.0)
Water that is alkaline will produce a reading of between 8.0 and 14.0 on the pH scale. Several claims have been made about the beneficial health properties of drinking alkaline water.

Great product to have in every lab and at home to measure and inspect water quality, urine, saliva, soil, alkaline diet, aquariums etc. Also, Great for science education!
